🗣 Full Script

I have a son who is four years old this year.
He is a bit touchy.
He also has a strong sense of ownership over his belongings, so he refuses when other kids try to touch them.
I felt that he had to soften his temperament in order to live as a member of society. So I began disciplining him.
But during a conversation with my mother, she told me that my son is exactly how I was as a child.
Memories came flooding back of how difficult it was for me to get along with friends.
These days, I have no trouble socializing.
But back then, the start of a new school year felt like a nightmare.
That day, I held my son and cried my eyes out.
I came to understand him better.
Instead of rushing to discipline him, I will try to respect him and guide him through the world through open communication.
I think this recent experience has helped me to grow as a father.
