Brian: Congratulations on your first two weeks, Taylor. What’s been your biggest challenge?
Taylor: At first glance I thought the food would be the hardest part. But it turns out that getting outside to walk when the weather is bad was worse.
Brian: I go to the underground shopping center when it rains.
Taylor: Why didn’t I think of that? I’ve been walking in the rain and getting soaked.
Brian: That shows how committed you are.
Taylor: I’ve spent too many years glossing over my weight gain and poor health but not anymore.
브라이언: 첫 2주를 축하해 테일러. 가장 어려웠던 점은 뭐였어?
테일러: 처음에는 식단이 가장 힘들 거라고 생각했는데, 날씨가 좋지 않을 때 밖에 나가서 걷는 게 더 힘들었어.

테일러: 왜 그 생각을 못했지? 빗속을 걷다가 흠뻑 젖어본 적이 있거든.
브라이언: 네가 얼마나 열심이었는지 알겠다.
테일러: 저는 너무 오랫동안 체중 증가와 건강 악화를 핑계로 살아왔어. 이젠 안그럴거야.

처음에는 가짜 콧수염처럼 보였는데 진짜였다.
2. Turn out: 알고 보니 – 였다. 인 것으로 드러나다. 밝혀지다.

4. Was worse: 이 더 나빴어.

1) I hated washing dishes but having to chop onions all day was worse.
난 설거지가 싫었지만, 하루 종일 양파 써는 게 더 싫었어.
2) Hanging around my little brother is bad but babysitting two-year-old twins was worse.
어린 남동생과 어울리는 것도 별로지만, 두 살짜리 쌍둥이를 돌보는 건 더 싫었어.
5. Soaked: 흠뻑 젖은
When one is described as being soaked, it means they are wet all the way through their clothes and shoes, too. Saying that one is damp is not as severe as being soaked.
어떤 사람이 soaked되었다면, 옷부터 신발까지 전부 젖은 상태를 의미한다. Damp (축축한)는 soaked만큼 심한 것은 아닙니다.
