나는 얼마 전에 초등학교 1학년 아들의 방과 후 프로그램 참관 수업에 참여하게 되었다.
수업은 아이가 평상시에 늘 흥미를 느껴왔던 로봇 과학이라는 과목으로 진행했다.
그래서 나도 많은 기대를 안고 갔습니다.
그 수업 내용 자체가 요즘 널리 이용되고 있는 배달 로봇이었다.
원리에 대한 설명을 듣고 나서 학생들은 각자 진도에 맞게 로봇을 만들기 시작했다.
1학년 아이들인데도 불구하고 학생들이 집중해서 뭔가 이렇게 만드는 모습이 정말 놀라웠다.
모르는 부분은 선생님의 도움을 받으며 완성해 나가는 아이들의 모습이 참 대견스러웠다.
그런데 수업 중에 한 학생이 긴장을 했는지 실수로 작은 부품 수십 개를 바닥에 떨어뜨렸다.
그런데 주변 친구들이 하던 것을 잠시 멈추고 그 부품을 주우면서 그 친구를 도와줬다.
아이들이 친구를 도와주려고 하는 마음이 참 예뻐 보였다.
