“감자들 크기가 전부 다 제각각이네요.

The sizes of these potatoes are all over the place.”

 

Ugly produce refers to agricultural products that are irregular in size or shape or that are partially damaged.

People are often quick to judge these products as less tasty based solely on their appearance.

But even though ugly produce may not meet visual standards, it holds the same value as standard produce in terms of taste and nutrition.

From my own experience, I found it to be no different from regular produce.

In the past, such produce was discarded in large quantities due to its perceived lack of marketability.

It’s unfortunate that such good food has gone to waste.

We need to change our perception of ugly produce.

I hope that consumers in many countries including Korea will take a greater interest in ugly produce
