Young people trust politicians less than they do influencers
on social media to tell them the truth about current affairs, a poll released on Sunday suggested.
일요일 발표된 한 여론조사에 따르면, 젊은이들이 정치인들보다, 시사문제에 대한 진실을 말해주는 소셜미디어의 인플루언서를 더 신뢰한다고 답했다.

According to a survey of
more than 13,000 students at elementary, middle and high schools, their trust in the president — a separate category from politicians among eight groups asked about for the study — was particularly low.
초, 중, 고등학교 학생 1만 3,000여 명을 대상으로 실시한 설문 조사에 따르면, 8개 그룹의 정치인 범주와 별도로 조사된 – 대통령에 대한 신뢰도는 특히 낮았다.

The president received 1.99 out of four points, which was lower than 2.05 for politicians in general. The professional group the students said they would trust most was teachers (3.26). Prosecutors and police came second with 2.80 points, followed by judges (2.70), journalists (2.34), religious leaders (2.25) and influencers (2.23).
대통령은 4점 만점에 1.99점을 받아 일반 정치인이 받은 2.05점보다 낮았다. 학생들이 가장 신뢰한다고 답한 직업 집단은 교사(3.26점)였다. 검사와 경찰이 2.80점으로 2위를 차지했고, 판사(2.70점), 언론인(2.34점), 종교 지도자(2.25점), 인플루언서 (2.23점)가 그 뒤를 이었다.
The study, conducted jointly by the state-run Korean Educational Development Institute and the Education Policy Network, also demonstrates their perceptions about discrimination and success in Korean society.

Asked about on what grounds people are discriminated against,
50 percent picked money as the main reason, followed by school grades (44.8 percent), disabilities (44 percent), gender (36.9 percent) and race (38.5 percent).
어떤 이유로 차별을 받는지에 대한 질문에 50%가 ‘돈’을 꼽았고, 학교 성적(44.8%), 장애(44%), 성별(36.9%), 인종(38.5%)이 그 뒤를 이었다.
Nevertheless, 36.5 percent said “living a happy life” is a more important personal success than “making a lot of money” (31.2 percent) or having a desired career (14.8 percent).
그럼에도 불구하고, 36.5%는 ‘행복한 삶을 사는 것’이 ‘돈을 많이 버는 것'(31.2%)이나 ‘원하는 직업을 갖는 것'(14.8%)보다 개인적으로 더 중요한 성공이라고 답했다.
