얼마 전에 뱅갈 고무나무 가지 하나를 선물로 받았다.
선물을 주신 분이 나뭇가지를 물에 꽂아 놓으면 2주 후에 가지에서 얇은 뿌리가 나오는데 그때 화분에 옮겨 심으면 된다고 안내를 해 주셨다.
저는 바로 실행에 옮겼다.

그래서 적당한 크기의 화분의 흙과 함께 뱅갈 고무나무를 옮겨 심었다.
그리고 이름도 뱅갈리라고 지어주었다.
보고만 있어도 저절로 기분 전환이 되는 존재가 되었다.
A while ago I received a Banyan rubber tree branch as a gift.
The person who gave it to me said that if I placed it in water, fine roots would grow from it after two weeks then I could move it to a flower pot.
I immediately put the plan into action.
I searched for information online and did the best I could to quickly obtain roots from the branch.
I filled a narrow-mouthed bottle with water and placed the branch in it.
I then put it in a dark place keeping it away from direct sunlight.
After two or three weeks, roots sprouted from the branch.
So I transplanted the Banyan rubber tree into a suitably sized flower pot along with some soil.
I even gave it a name Bengali.
Now Bengali radiates a brilliant green, becoming a source of healing in my life.
Simply gazing at it is enough to lift my spirits.
