Naming a child is one of the first important choices that new parents must make.
I too wanted the name to embody the meaning of how I wanted my child to grow up.
I agonized over it endlessly even before the baby was born.
However, my father-in-law wanted to provide the baby’s name as a gift so we finally yielded that opportunity to him albeit regretfully.
My father-in-law consulted with a well-known baby-naming expert and received several favorable names for the child.
We chose one among them. The name I had in mind has become too common now so I am grateful to my father-in-law (for) gifting our child a special name.
