Taean Tulip Festival 2026
Korea’s Biggest Spring Flower Festival · Mageompo, Taean, South Korea
🎬 Watch Before You Read!
Get a feel for the Taean Tulip Festival before diving in — watch our short highlight first, then the full tour below.
New Venue of Taean Tulip Festival in 2026 — Don’t Go to the Old Location!
The festival has moved from the previous Kkotji Beach site to a brand-new venue: Korea Flower Park & Nature World in Mageompo. Heading to the old location will leave you with nothing to see.
When the cherry blossoms fall, Taean explodes into something even more spectacular. Every spring, over one million tulips bloom across Korea’s most celebrated flower festival — officially recognized as one of the world’s top five tulip festivals alongside Keukenhof in the Netherlands and Ottawa Tulip Festival in Canada.
In 2026, the festival makes its biggest move yet: a brand-new venue at Korea Flower Park & Nature World in Mageompo, delivering the largest edition in its history. Think Versailles-inspired garden landscapes, record-breaking floral sculptures, and a nighttime light show that transforms the grounds into something almost otherworldly.
🌷 Peak Bloom Window
This is when the tulips are at their most vibrant. Check the official site for live bloom updates before you go.
2026 Highlights
Giant Peacock Tulip Sculpture
The festival’s iconic centerpiece — a towering peacock whose feathers are intricately woven from thousands of colorful tulips. A brand-new large-scale sculpture is also being unveiled this year.
Versailles Garden Theme
A tulip garden modeled after the Palace of Versailles grounds — sweeping formal geometry, manicured flower beds, and European grandeur reimagined in Korean spring colors.
Rainbow Tulip Garden
A winding stream surrounded by rainbow-hued tulip fields — like stepping into a storybook illustration. The most popular photo spot in the entire festival.
Character Topiaries
Cute sculptural topiaries — pandas, cartoon characters, and whimsical creatures — dotted throughout the grounds, making it a hit with kids and adults alike.
Festival Food Court
A lively food court serving everything from Korean street food classics to international bites. Tteokbokki, seafood pancakes, grilled skewers, desserts — plenty of options to keep energy up between flower beds.

Greenhouse Plant Market
Take a piece of spring home with you. The on-site greenhouse sells a wide variety of tulip bulbs, seasonal flowers, and potted plants — from rare varieties to everyday garden favorites. A popular stop on the way out.
🌙 Night Light Festival
A Completely Different World After Dark
When the sun goes down, the tulip fields transform. Soft illuminations wash across the flower beds, creating a romantic, almost dreamlike atmosphere — nothing like the daytime experience.

Visitor Tips
- Arrive at 9am on weekdays — crowds build fast after 10am, especially on weekends. Parking can get chaotic on Saturday afternoons.
- Check Korea Flower Park’s official website the day before you visit — they post live bloom photos so you can gauge peak color conditions.
- Keep your daytime ticket stub — it gets you 50% off the Night Light Festival entry the same evening.
- Comfortable walking shoes are a must. The paths are flat and paved, but the grounds are large — plan for 2–3 hours of walking.
- Dogs are welcome, but you must bring a leash and waste bags. Visitors without them may be turned away at the gate.
- After the festival, head to Anmyeondo Island nearby for fresh seafood — the combination makes for a perfect full-day trip from Seoul.
